The USAG Miami Newcomers’ Orientation is a program designed to welcome and onboard service members, family members, DoD civilians, and contractors transitioning to USAG Miami, SOUTHCOM, and supporting units.

This orientation helps newcomers become familiar with the installation, available resources, and the surrounding community while providing important information to support a smooth transition.

 

What You’ll Learn

Participants receive valuable information on:

  • Housing and local school resources
  • TRICARE and medical enrollment information
  • Hurricane preparedness and emergency planning
  • Army Community Service (ACS), Child & Youth Services (CYS), and Family & MWR programs
  • Community resources available to service members and families

The session also includes live discussions with subject matter experts and a guided installation tour to help participants become familiar with USAG Miami facilities.

 

Who Should Attend

The program is open to:

  • Service Members (all branches)
  • Military spouses and family members
  • DoD civilians
  • Contractors assigned to SOUTHCOM or supporting units

Newcomers’ Orientation is held monthly from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM on the following dates:

Childcare

Childcare is available at cost during the orientation.
